No Post Today

Hi all.  I'm not planning to post today.  Possibly tomorrow, though I'm still not feeling a lot of inspiration around writing about DD, though it's probably just a matter of being good and sick of electronic communications in general.  I hope you're all healthy and safe.

  1. Maybe this blog has run its course. Seven years is a good run. Your heart ain't in it no more.

    2. Anonymous, you're right that my heart isn't (JR's wife would spank you black and blue for using "ain't" though I personally don't have any problem with it) in it right now, though that may be a product of current circumstance as much as time. And, while I do think that many blogs of this sort probably do have a limitation on their shelf-life, and many seem to expire after 7 or 8 years, I've also noticed that many bloggers in this space announce they are hanging it up, but then either don't quite exit or end up coming back. So, at this point at least, while there is a grain of truth in your observation, it's not quite that binary (at least not yet).

  3. Dev smiled when she saw this... With the break I was thinking we could share our last experience? I have nothing but still recovering from last week. JR

  4. "Maybe this blog has run its course. Seven years is a good run. Your heart ain't in it no more." Without getting into the grammar on this post, it seems like maybe you are harboring a bit of pent-up hostility.

Now, maybe you just stumbled upon the blog and decided to share your incredibly deep and inspirational insights, but the "seven years is a good run" makes me feel like that is not the case, and that rather you keep coming back here every day or week, even though you seem to wish the blog would cease to exist? How very pathetic you must be to keep coming back to the same place, wishing ill on others and yet still seemingly unable to stay away.
