The Forum - Question of the Week #33

Hi all.  Welcome back, and welcome to 2014.  I begin the year with a sense of humility.  Something this blog has taught me is that I have absolutely no ability to predict which topics people may find interesting or worthy of a comment.  As I said in my last post, I'm big on resolutions and written goals.   Others out there -- apparently not so much, since the topic got only a handful of responses. Or, perhaps people were otherwise engaged with holiday activities?  In any event, for those of you who made resolutions for 2014, here is hoping you keep at least a few of them and that the upcoming year is fulfilling and productive.

This week's topic is somewhat related to my less than fully successful attempt to get a discussion going around 2014 goals and changes.  As I said in the last post,  I did set several DD and FLR resolutions for myself, one of which was to move a bit toward acting in public in a way that might suggest that She wears the pants in the family.  This would be much less than a public announcement that we are in an FLR relationship.  More like subtle hints that she is the one in charge.   What do people think about that?  Any hints on things we might do?  How open are you about your own FLR or DD relationship?

As always, please take a moment to put something in the Guestbook (see the post immediately below), and please think about submitting something for our user-generated story feature, which is accessible by a link to the right of this post.

Happy 2014 everyone!

DH

  1. Going to a restaurant and when the waitress comes for the order the wife orders everything for him.
My wife likes it better when a female waitress is waiting on us as she seems to connect better then with a waiter.

    1. This also was the case when wife and I went to buy a new car last fall.
My wife took over the dealings and we had to go too a couple dealers before wife found a sales lady that took "the hint" that the wife in this family was the ruler of the husband and started to direct all questions to my wife about what SHE would want in a car. The sales lady even directed me to sit in the visitors lounge where I would be more comfortable while they talked business.
Yes the wife did buy our new car there.

  2. Beginning with our New Years Day breakfast we attended when the waiter asked if I wanted another bloody mary, i turned to my wife Jill and asked " Darling, may I have another Bloody Mary, She smiled and considered it for a moment before she said NO. I think one is enough today" The couple we were with blushed but I acted as if it were a natural thing and said " You are right dear. "
I was rock hard saying it.

  3. Our DD relationship is kept between us. If one is alert there are some things that are said in public, like yes dear, anything you want dear, and a few times she has said we need to talk later or I don't think my hand is sore yet.

  4. My wife carried a small paddle in her purse with the words, KEEP HIM IN LINE, and would set the purse down open so people could see and read it.

  5. Has this new started out with the change to my weekly chores. My first day started off with a morning talk about the new daily chores. Then she watched has I did them. Then she took me show me the below standard and how she wants those daily chores done. She did this with each daily chore for all seven days. This took all morning and start of the afternoon. Before dinner she made me write a report on "How the chores should be done" When done she took the hand written report with us to dinner. She read over it at the table and let her red pen dance on the paper of the changes. In full view of everyone. When we got home I was given time to rewrite the report while she was taking a bath. After she took the report put next to the chore chart. This will keep you clear on how I want these chores done. She showed me the back of the chore chart with all the punishments on the back. Show me a few new ones for the new year. I love her so much.

  6. 1. If your wife is doing a good job, her friends will notice your improved behaviour. When they comment, she should tell them the cause.

  7. Having my behavior noticed is what led my wife to tell two of her girlfriends that she disciplined me. Both asked at different times why we work so well and why I am attentive and well behaved when their relationships were troubled and she told them because she spanked when I acted out or lost focus. People do notice and maybe a good way to advocate female led marriage is to make your wife proud of you in public as well as at home. I don’t think you have to act excessively submissive but obedience to your wife, respect and attentiveness does make a statement

  8. A lot of Mistress friends and even family comment on Mistress being in charge. It's all treated as a laugh but I''m sure some of them suspect that she's the one 'wearing the trousers.' Mistress loves to joke with people when we are out shopping how useless men are and that I'm 'just along to carry the shopping.' I used to hate the humiliation and got really embarrassed by it but now I get quite a thrill. Her other trick is stopping in the middle of the street to give me a lecture - keeping a deadpan stern face. I trie to laugh it off but all the time she's saying, 'what do you say to me? And my response has to be include the one Mistress. Of course she pics a time to do this when we are slap in the middle of a busy street so people can hear me grovelling in apology to her.

    1. How do you......
Well, hints here and there and a period of time it comes out with another couple.
Plus, women talk to each other more then we guys know. I think the lady's call it confiding with each other. It's something a couple into it can't rush but, taking time you know.

  10. My wife has become more open about our FLM. We had people over for dinner and the wives commented about how good i was and the husbands kept saying I made them look back At this point I am sure that if any wife asked how she does it and was serious my wife would tell her about the spankings and cornertime I get. I can feel it that she wants to spank me in front of someone.

  11. My wife and I have just returned from a three week holiday. As part of firming up our FLR relationship my wife administered two very sound bare bottom spankings each and every day of our holiday. One first thing in the morning and the second was just before bed. She used her hand, a hairbrush, a paddle and a strap. At the dining room for all our meals she insisted that I carry a cushion to sit on and by the look on faces of many of the other guests it was quite apparent that many had heard the discipline being administered and knew why I needed the cushion. She also did all the ordering. My wife had also indicated that she intends give me numerous witnessed spankings during this coming year. She is yet to decide who the witnesses will be. Obviously there had been some discussion among the staff at the resort about my spankings as my wife was occasionally quizzed with a smirk whether I had been behaving myself. I love my wife and our flr and dd relationship

  12. In public, I defer to her. If she asks my opinion, I answer, but she decides... whatever it is. If I want to leave her presence, I ask her, first.
I wear a collar, but it doesn't look like one; it's a thin gold chain, with a heart shaped pendant that says "in service" on one side. People in our BDSM community know what it is, people outside the community do not.
